EnergyPathways meets Team Barrow and Enterprise Cumbria in Barrow-in-Furness.
Ben Clube, our Chief Executive and members of the EnergyPathways team were in Barrow-in-Furness last week, taking the opportunity to meet Team Barrow and Enterprise Cumbria to discuss MESH, our proposed energy project to be built in the Irish Sea and onshore at Barrow. Classified in September 2025 as a “Nationally Significant Project” by the Department of Energy Security & Net Zero, MESH will deliver low-cost and large-scale long-duration energy storage with flexible low-carbon power, along with hydrogen and graphite production. It will support the UK’s energy security and future energy system. MESH also aligns with the Government’s Industrial and Critical Minerals strategies (Department for Business & Trade), and with the ambitions of Team Barrow and Enterprise Cumbria to strengthen and diversify the local economy.
