In a new open letter, CEO Ben Clube outlines how the MESH project offers a practical, cost-effective solution to two of the UK’s biggest challenges: energy security and the affordability of net zero. 

With the closure of existing gas storage capacity looming and increasing costs from wasted wind energy, MESH’s integrated storage system—combining gas, compressed air, and hydrogen—is designed to deliver long-duration, dispatchable power without requiring government subsidy. 

The project is well positioned to become the UK’s largest gas storage facility and Europe’s largest long-duration energy storage site, supporting clean power targets and bolstering Britain’s energy independence.
